Business Risks: Birds

WoodpeckerLimpkin

The first major nuisance is the crow (black bird). I have a squadron of over 500 of them that wake us up early in the morning and announce their return with loud bursts of whistles and cries as they return in squadron formation from their daily raids across the district. Left over dog food doesn’t stand a chance with them so that takes management as well.

Then there are the water birds, egrets, herons, limpkins, kingfishers, kites, hawks, they all form a part of my environment and while they are beautiful creatures, a couple of my heart strings are still pulled when the kingfisher dives for the tilapia fingerlings or the hawk flies off with a 3/4 pound tilapia. I don’t mind the buzzards (john crow) as they help to keep the environment clean
